Triple Berry Acai Bowl

These are my favorite morning meal. When I lived in Hawaii I ate these almost every day. I have tried to mimic my favorite bowls from around the island and I think this recipe comes pretty dang close!

Ingredients:

For the base (serves 2)—

  • 2 Samazon Acai Packets (I find these at Costco)

  • 1 Banana

  • 2 cups Triple Berry Mix frozen

  • 1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk

  • 2 tablespoons Chia Seeds

For the toppings (per bowl)—

  • 1/2 banana sliced

  • 2 strawberries sliced

  • 1/2 cup blueberries

  • 1/2 cup granola (I love the pumpkin flax seed granola)

  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened shredded coconut

  • 1 tablespoon Unsalted Peanut Butter

  • 1 tsp Hemp Hearts

  • Drizzle of Organic Honey

To Make:

  • Blend all of the ingredients for the base together until thick and creamy. You don’t want your base to be watery otherwise your bowl will just be a smoothie. The trick is to make sure it is thick which may require you to stir while blending since the ingredients will not have a lot of liquid.

  • After everything is blended I put in my secret ingredient! This one isn’t listed in the recipe, but I love to add just one handful of almonds and blend for just a few seconds to allow some pieces to remain in the mixture.

  • Next, add the base to a bowl. This portion will be large enough for 2 bowls.

  • Finally, add your toppings and dig in! It’ll be hard not to lick the bottom.
