Strawberry Walnut Salad
This is the perfect summer salad. So fresh, tons of veggies, a great crunch, and high in valuable nutrients. You will get a good variety of carbs, healthy fats, and protein in this salad. I do not usually measure out what I put in my salad, the bigger bowl the better for me! Make it work for you, this will be filling so you can always make it in a big bowl, scoop out what you want to eat at the time and save the rest for later. If I am going to save salad for leftovers, I always add the dressing to only the portion I serve to myself. I leave the dressing off of the rest of the salad I am storing to save it from getting to soggy.
Ingredients:
Mediterranean Salad Mix (I get this from Costco its a pre-made mix with the lettuce and everything included)
Shredded Carrots
Cucumbers
Cherry Tomatoes
Chia Seeds
Flax Seeds
Salad Topper (I buy NaturSource Salad Topper from Amazon)
Chopped Walnuts
Sliced Strawberries
Grilled Chicken
Sliced Avocado
Sprinkle of Feta Cheese
Drizzle of Balsamic Vinaigrette
